Staffpoint – the Ultimate Staffing System

Welcome to The Staffpoint Mid 2025 Update!

Welcome to the next Staffpoint update leading us into summer.

Please see below for some highlights about what this new update will provide. We’ll be rolling out updates by the end of June 2025 and wanted to give you a preview of what’s going to pop up.

Bug fixes, Improvements, and Optimizations!

We’ve added the following new features:

  • [Personnel Types] Admins can now enable or disable personnel types with clear indicators, ensuring disabled types cannot be assigned or selected in client or admin workflows. The system prevents copying assignments tied to disabled types and visually marks them as inactive.
  • [Payroll] Tags added on assignments now appear in payroll reports and the report builder.
  • [User Interface] Client users can now optionally view personnel contact details on their portal (system-controlled).

We’ve enhanced the following:

  • [Admin Users] Admins can now check-in personnel up to 20 minutes before start time, matching the staff check-in rules.
  • [User Interface] The system now displays up to 10 notes on assignment summaries with scrollable views.
  • [User Interface] The right-click menu now includes a Pin Assignment option, harmonizing functionality across systems.
  • [User Interface] Client users can now optionally view personnel contact details on their portal (system-controlled).
  • [Timezone and Preferences] We’ve added support for Newfoundland Time (NDT) across preferences and divisions.
  • [New Request] The “Send Assignment” button is now disabled after the first click in order to prevent duplicates.
  • [Assignments] Reduced pause time after assigning or removing personnel, improving workflow speed.
  • [Personnel Types] Enhanced search within Personnel Type Management to include description fields.
  • [Notifications] Notifications for assigned, cancelled, and changed assignments now include the client’s name. This enhancement standardizes notifications across all assignment-related actions.
  • [Reminders] Updated reminder logic to correctly handle changes to backdated assignments.
  • [User Management] All new personnel, client, and admin profiles are now created with permissions disabled by default, ensuring a more secure and controlled onboarding process.

We’ve corrected the following problems:

  • [Admin Management] We fixed a bug where new admins might not immediately appear in the Admin users list after creation.
  • [Assignment Summary] An infrequent bug was resolved that could cause the system to incorrectly allow the “Approve Shift” button to appear on cancelled assignments.
  • [Rates – general] Fixed issues where new break rules weren’t saving properly.
  • [Report Builder] Improved the report builder’s type search behavior across browsers, limiting result height and refining search logic.
  • [Export] Corrected spacing, alignment, and blank page issues when printing invoices to PDF.
  • [Export] Removed the unused QTY column from exported invoices.

We’ve replaced the following:

  • None currently

Known issues (non-critical bugs that will be tackled for the next update):

  • None currently

Other:

  • Minor bug-fixes and performance improvements.
